“Every child deserves an excellent public education.”
The Davis Schools Foundation is a non-profit501(c)(3) organization. We support educational excellence in Davis public schools by partnering with parents, the Davis School District and the community to raise funds for district-wide programs to give all students the best education possible and promote equitable opportunities between schools.
Thank You Davis Community For Continuing To Support Our Local Public Schools!
The Davis Schools Foundation has made a grant of $100,000 to the Davis Joint Unified School District to continue to fund instructional aides at the elementary level for the upcoming 2013-14 school year.
For the current school year, the Davis Schools Foundation is also funding junior high campus safety (vice principals), instructional materials for Da Vinci Charter Academy, and high school counseling positions. For the upcoming school year, the district will fund vice principals at the junior highs and counselors at the high schools.
The Davis Schools Foundation thanks all the community donors and supporters that made this grant possible. The Davis Schools Foundation received very compelling feedback from elementary principals that the instructional aides were “invaluable” and made a positive difference at the elementary sites.
